“Sailing day out to remember for the rest your life”

Reviewed November 3, 2016

I booked Christian to take me and my family ( husband, two children 5, 7) on a private sailing tour in October 2016. I knew it was going to be good because we also went on the same tour with him in October 2015 for the day. (Booked via Virgin rep that time) If you want a slice of luxury on your holiday to Antigua and to experience a genuine day of peace, calm and beauty out at sea with a truly excellent sailor and a lovely person then this is it. Having a private tour was brilliant as it enables Christian to plan the whole day according to your family’s wishes. First we enjoyed sailing out and enjoying the views of the coast and then started looking for turtles and found quite a few to all our delight. We visited a private beach, anchored and with life jackets all jumped off the boat and swam to the shore and played in the beautiful sand for as long as we pleased. When we swam back to the boat Christian, Jody and Lydia had put on a wonderful spread of food for us – laid out on plates and placed on leaves and flowers: chicken skewers, meats, calzone, pitta, salads, home made Tzatziki sauce, home made tomato sauce, exotic fruits, as much drinks as we needed of all types and white chocolate chip cookies for the kids. A true feast. Christian is a wonderful guy and it was a privilege to go on his boat. Jody was also equally charming and Lydia deserves a special mention – she was lovely with our children and though we wanted to spend the time enjoying the trip with them Lydia ensured my husband and I had some lovely moments together while she played dinosaur games with the kids downstairs.

The boat is charming, big and classic. We even had a fresh water shower after swimming in the sea. If you want to avoid the masses on jam packed catamarans booked by the resorts then this is the trip for you. Book before too many people find out!

Thank you Camelot and your crew for making our holiday magic.
